Game Review – Rogue (1988)
This enhanced version of the grandfather of all
dungeon crawlers was retro even when released in 1988!

‘Fists of Fury’ Game Review – Way of the Exploding Fist (1988)
Rounding off my ‘Fists of Fury’ mini-series with
another game from the Melbourne House back catalogue, but this one is a bona
fide classic…

‘Fists of Fury’ Game Review – Knuckle Busters (1988)
This Melbourne House re-release may have been
marketed as a fighting game, but you actually end up doing more running than
fighting!

‘Behind Enemy Lines’ Game Review – Hundra (1988)
Closing
off this mini series with another Amstrad game, and another flick-screen action
adventure. This one’s really nice looking but has some frustrating game design
aspects!

Game Review – Super Trolley (1988)
Now then, now then, what do we have here? A
shelf-stacking simulator, which is just as interesting as it sounds!

Game Review – Erebus (1988)
This Ricochet re-release is an enjoyable if moderately frustrating blaster. Check it out...

Game Review – FA Cup Football (1988)
It’s FA Cup final day! So what better excuse to play this official FA Cup game?

Game Review – Speed Zone (1988)
I can barely even bring myself to write anything about this miserable excuse for a game!

‘Screen Stars’ Game Review – Aliens (1988)
This Time It’s War... Actually, this time it’s a game that involves getting lost in lots of similar-looking rooms whilst trying not to be killed by marauding xenomorphs!

‘Screen Stars’ Game Review – Droids (1988)
This is actually the only game in this series of reviews that wasn’t a re-release of a full-price game. One for Star Wars fans!
‘Screen Stars’ Game Review – Ghostbusters (1988)
Moving to the big screen with another Activision re-release, but this time a really classic game!
Unfortunately the speech didn't come out too well on the video, but I'm sure you all know what was being said anyway!

‘Screen Stars’ Game Review – Knightmare (1988)
Time for another themed mini-series of reviews, this time featuring games based on Movies and TV shows. Kicking things off is the re-release of Activision’s game based on the classic British children’s programme.

Game Review – X-15 Alpha Mission (1988)
Moving over to the Ricochet brand, but another ‘cockpit view’ game offering a mix of flight simulation and arcade action.

Game Review – Sweep! (1988)
This 1988 release has some brilliant music on the title screen, but that’s definitely the high point!

Game Review – Rock n’ Bolt (1988)
The Ricochet re-release of Activision’s challenging 1985 building site puzzler is the next title to get the review treatment.

Game Review - Rockford: The Arcade Game (1988)
Here’s a curious one - a home conversion of an arcade game that was never released, and one of the most ridiculous game inlays I’ve encountered thus far...
