Game Review – Octoplex (1989)
This M.A.D. offering is somewhat derivative in
the sound and graphics stakes, but it’s a pretty original and playable game
nonetheless.
Collection Update – Two More Titles
Just a
quick update here for my latest Ebay purchases.
So two more
of the rare titles obtained - Die! Alien Slime from Mastertronic Plus cost
£3.20, and Starforce Fighter in second-wave Mastertronic packaging was £2.49.
That’s
pretty much it. The search continues for the remaining 13 games!
Total
games: 198
Average
cost: £1.16

‘Olympic Sports’ Game Review – Bump Set Spike! (1986)

‘Olympic Sports’ Game Review – Sailing (1989)
Mastertronic raided the Activision back
catalogue once more for the latest game in my Olympic-themed series. Warning: if
you suffer from sea sickness you may want to give this one a miss!

‘Olympic Sports’ Game Review – Superstar Ping-Pong (1987)
The next Olympic sport I’m looking at is Table
Tennis, and this M.A.D. release is a pretty good simulation of the game with
plenty of options.
‘Olympic Sports’ Game Review – Advanced Basketball Simulator (1989)
As the country is gripped by Olympic fever, what
better time to do some reviews of games based on Olympic events? Kicking
things off we have this Basketball game from Sculptured Software...
